Glittery hangers.....so thrifty!

I love using old pant hangers to hang up my embroidery wallhangings!

They can be found at thrift stores...I got a huge box of them for 5 dollars.

That means they were about 10 cents each.

They can be glittered up to match the project too.

These hangers can also be used to showcase children's art, to hang a calendar on, & hang Christmas sheet music on.

Just take your hanger and apply a generous amount of glue to it. 

A paintbrush will do the trick with elmers glue.

Sprinkle..... 

Let extra glitter shake off....and let dry. 

Here I did it in pink....there are so many lovely glitters out there!

I have a glitter caddy....lol.

The warmth of home is calling....

OMG.....Christmas is only a week away.

It seems like all of a sudden ....it is here!

I just wanted to share with you....my new painting

"The warmth of home is calling".

I used old book pages...pretty papers, paint, ink, chalk, and all kinds of layering.

IT was so much fun to paint.

This is a 16" x 20"....so bigger than my usual.

I LOVE HOME.

Wherever it has been....I have made myself so very happy there. 

I also love to think of the home my mom made for us when growing up...and even though my parents were divorced....my dad was always welcome....and he would always come.

They had a better friendship than love story.

is s sweet lil round pillow...with rick rack trim and red beads.

Available in my Etsy shop and on my Patternmart.

This lil teddy bear is giving his heart & he wants to be loved by you! What a fast, easy, and fun design to make. The sweet heart just pops out using simple red beads. Red rick rack is sewn around the lil pillow. This could also be made into a table or candle mat.

Makes me think of my mom....all those trips to Kmart!

We would go there just to watch the weird people while we had a banana split (pop the balloon for a deal on it...the price would be inside on a piece of paper) or a pudding....we were desperate for fun I guess.

People probably thought our large family was nutty.

My mom made fudge every Christmas...it was a very good recipe.  It made a huge pan full which was great for our family.

One year we stupidly left it on the coffee table...the next morning the pan was licked clean.

Our dog "Sugar" ate the rest of the fudge....we were worried, but she was fine.

 

Teddy bear sneaky peaky and # 17

Hey ladies!

Today is my 17th Wedding Anniversary!

I woke up to roses and chocolates...plus my hubby making a big country breakfast!

He spoils me....and I love it!

My daughter is going to a sweet sixteen party.... so we can be together alone...yeah!

When we got married we had a huge Christmas tree decorated in white...in the background of Gretna Green....everything sparkling!  People have asked me...why did I have a December wedding....I say....why not!

Yep...this boy has been looking for a gift for Mom and finally found the right gift....

he went straight to the dollar store and bought mom some goodies.....lol.
