Artist Trading cards - tiny pieces of art

I love ATC's!  Those 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" pieces of art.  I have made alot of them....some watercolored, some with papers and old pics.....some with inks and colored pencils.

They are very portable...and your imagination is the only limit!

I love my witchy girl!

I have used old wallpapers for some....and go my old typewriter out to make a memorable message.  Just add papers....draw, paint, glitter....etc....

Inspiration!  Stand up for what you believe! 

I cover them when they are done with a clear small envelope...made special for these cards.

Each one is like a little treasure.

I have made them for every holiday....since I love holidays sooooo much!

Animals, like cats and dogs are fun.  I wish I was alittle better at dogs...gotta practice.

This chick is gonna be the Easter bunny....at all costs!

I must follow this when November comes around.....I always get alittle frazzled.

If you have not experimented with these little cards...which are at arts and crafts stores....you need to get some and go to town!  They come in all kinds of forms....all blank....some are for watercolor or acrylics or drawing....lots to choose from.

Freebie friday- Do your best stitchery design pattern

Yeah!!! It is FRIDAY!!!  I can't wait for the weekend....I love sleeping in late and hanging with my little family.

This is the Fifth week of an 8 week all Summer long freebie friday event!!!! The theme is Inspiration!!!

Each Friday I will give you a design...like the "Do your best" design and by the end of 8 weeks you will have some beautiful Embroidery bowl fillers, pillow tucks, or ornaments. You could also use the designs to make other items like wearable pins or small pin cushions.

Take a scrap piece of muslin and trace the DO YOUR BEST design onto it. I like using a disappearing marker....that disappears when water is applied to it. On my left sidebar is a tip on how to make a lightbox to trace embroidery designs.

Also trace the square around design. Back-stitch your word on muslin in any color you choose. Trim muslin design down....1/4" away from outside square. Remove disappearing marker and let dry. Make into a mini pillow...with a backing and stuff it. One bowl filler is done. These also make great pillow tucks on a shelf. Tell your friends about the all summer long freebie friday!!! These lil pillows are very fast to whip up...so lets get started...I will post mine also....it would be GREAT to see yours too!!!!

Fascinators- party hats

The other day I made a hat to wear to the farm chicks show.....it was so much fun that I whipped up some other hats too!

My daughter was trying to look like a smarty pants.....lol.

Fun Hijinks Hat

Here is the hat I made to wear to the Farm Chicks show today....cute huh!

It is modified from my pattern...festive party hats....on the right sidebar my daughter is modeling another hat from My Pattern...click on it for details.

I made it using old calico, repo tinsel, cheesecloth, linen cloth, scraps, and stamped words.....so fun.

Relax- Freebie Friday

I am going to THE FARM CHICKS tomorrow...this time as a customer.  I am no longer being a vendor.....sales were fabulous...but I spent way too much time making things for it and my goal is firmly on designing patterns and artwork.  I do have 2 distributors now and lots of work to do!
